Wholesome comics who are actually funny?
I have a really hard time finding wholesome comics who are actually funny. Jim Gaffigan is one of my favorites, because he generally doesn't resort to cheap, dirty jokes, and he's still really funny.
Chonda Pierce and Mark Lowry are two of the absolute BEST!
Ken Davis.
both have video clips on youtube
Can you give me funny comic ideas?
The ideas should not e dirty or violent. I am only 11 and I show my comics to my school. I have made 38 pages and 20 panels on a page. I have made a lot and is running out of idea. The humor should be like tom and jerry. I am planning to make my comics about Christmas cause Christmas is close NOW. I want to make my friends happy so... vcan you give me ideas
How about something like Santa gits stuck down the chemny or I know make one of the fun version of rudeoph the red nosie raindeer. Like draw rudeophe will a flashlight for a noise. the other raindeers wont let him play Monpaly That wold be GREAT! and if your really good that would deffintely make them smile. talk to you later and good luck!
What's so funny about this?
This comic, at: news.yahoo.com/comics/bc makes reference to Binghampton, NY. Was there some chemical spilled in the water there? NOTE: it is a regular comic, nothing dirty, or weird or obscene, just obscure. I Googled it, but didn't find anything relevant. Thanks for your help.

Any books, comics, etc.?
i hate twillight. i hate vampire diaries. let me make that clear.

i was wondering if there were any gorey-funny books but make you think out there?

i was once told about a vamp series that made the saw movies look like barney but the main character was a female. i cant remember who told me or what it was called so chya.

i like chris moore (lamb, a dirty job, the fool) but i want something gorey. normally dont like fantasy stuff but apparently thats the only thing gorey out right now.

any suggestions???
From Hell by Alan Moore is graphic novel based off of the story of Jack the Ripper
Need a few funny examples?
I need 1 example from each of these -

•Magazine/newspaper
•advertisement/commercial
•poem
•greeting card
•comic strip

It can't be too dirty because this is for school, I'll give 10 points to whoever helps me out
You need to get an actual magazine or newspaper, advertisement or commercial, poem, greeting card and comic strip and find your examples (of whatever, since you didn't specify what you're looking for) from them. This isn't an assignment someone else can complete for you. Sorry!

I'm 15, but the book really needs to CLICK for me to actually read it.

Writers: B/Q. Let's get down and dirty eh? ;)?
Haha. I just watched an interview of an author who had an interesting ritual she did before writing each day. She would color-code her pens, sharpen all of her pencils (even though she didn't use them and even if they were already sharpened), and then she would dust her keyboard. *chuckles* Hmm, seems some of you writers are a bit obsessive compulsive eh? ;)

Ok so on to the questions that I'm just generally interested in.

1) What are your writing rituals that you absolutely have to do or else you will not be able to sit down and concentrate on writing? Do you have any post-writing rituals and if so what are they? (ex: acting a character's part, writing silly, rubbish words to get them out of your system, rewarding yourself with an ice cream if you complete your word count quota each day...etc)

2) Does your self esteem or mood affect your writing style, voice, or creativity (or anything else for that matter), when you're writing?

3) Did you learn anything from writing your last book, paragraph, essay, blurb, blog, etc.?

4) What genre are you most comfortable writing/why? What are you least comfortable writing/why?

5) What interests you the most about people? What do you like the most..and do these traits/qualities/characteristics manifest into your characters?

6) What would your protagonist and antagonist wish for if they found a genie?

7) What is the most frightening handicap or disfigurement you can think of? Do any of your characters have these? If so is it a key character?

8) Do you have a comic relief character? If so, what quirks does he/she have? And what type of humor do you use? (ex: slapstick humor described through action, quips illustrated via dialogue, etc)

9) What celebrity would your protagonist and antagonist want to meet and why?

10) What do you consider the most overrated virtue and do any of your characters possess it?

11) What is the strangest/funniest insult anyone has ever given to you?

Yeah I know, some of these are utterly stupid questions lmao..but I'm just interested.

Thanks in advance and best answer is based on votes from public.

When I'm writing, I like silence. So I need itunes up so I can have my certain song on repeat. But first, everything needs to be closed out. The document with my book must be with first tab on the start bar. Then itunes after that. After that, documents of notes can follow.
Where ever I'm working, an entire space has to be cleared. If something is touching me that isn't my desk (or couch cushion..or pillow) most chances, it needs to go. So really, I push all the junk away from me, giving me a clean circle to work in.
When I'm doing serious notes, I need my light blue pen...the one I like to chew on. I call it my chewy pen.
Snacks and sodas within reach is always a nice touch.

2) Does your self esteem or mood affect your writing style, voice, or creativity (or anything else for that matter), when you're writing?
It can, but I try not to let it be affected. Sometimes, it just happens. Other times, I'm able release the mood I'm in.

3) Did you learn anything from writing your last book, paragraph, essay, blurb, blog, etc.?
I'm always learning from things that I have previously written.

4) What genre are you most comfortable writing/why? What are you least comfortable writing/why?
Fantasy. I'm most comfortable writing that. It's far away from reality. I can make up history.
I'm least comfortable with horror. I don't even know how to begin to write it.

5) What interests you the most about people? What do you like the most..and do these traits/qualities/characteristics manifest into your characters?
I like to study people. For some apparent reason, the way a person talks, their movements, and how they interact with others interest me.
They do manifest into my characters because I was observing and studying how others act.
Call it research.

6) What would your protagonist and antagonist wish for if they found a genie?
Heh, this is a bit laughable. They would both wish for peace...but both would go about it in two different ways.
Or maybe my protagonist would wish to break from the bind from the other main character....

7) What is the most frightening handicap or disfigurement you can think of? Do any of your characters have these? If so is it a key character?
Not having thumbs.
No, all of my characters have all of their thumbs.

8) Do you have a comic relief character? If so, what quirks does he/she have? And what type of humor do you use? (ex: slapstick humor described through action, quips illustrated via dialogue, etc)
I do...and then he decided that he wanted a larger role. *rolls eyes* Well, he got what he wanted.
He had a love hate relationship with the main character.
It was quite adorable at times.

9) What celebrity would your protagonist and antagonist want to meet and why?
I can't think of ane. It's a fantasy world. Celebrities don't have a big role in it...what with enslavement and all.

10) What do you consider the most overrated virtue and do any of your characters possess it?
I think I'd have to say chastity. And none of my characters possess it...that I know of.

11) What is the strangest/funniest insult anyone has ever given to you?
That I was random and insane.
Oh, that's supposed to be an insult?
I took it as a complement
Disney and Donald: Which comic book is this one?
Hi, about 10 - 15 years ago I read this Disney comic which had this funny story about Donald Duck taking up the job of a milkman and being tormented by his clients. Another story in the same book was about Beagle Boys trying to steal silver plates in a costume party, wherein they were thrown in a dirty pond at the end. Can you please tell me the sequence number/title of this comic, or if any cartoon has been made on it?
There is a Donald as a milkman story in the 550th issue of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories, but I don't know about the Beagle Boys story.

Here's more info, a picture of the cover, and an index to the stories in the issue:
